Q: What are your favorite color combinations in interior design? Are they the same as those you use in fashion?
A: I cocoon myself with “dust,” a soft, warm gray I’ve been using in my collections since day one; I always think of it as a transition color, twilight or dawn, a gentle hush of expectation…And a crisp, modern iPod white.

Q: What are your favorite materials?
Plywood, resin, bone, cashmere, glass, foam, rubber, leather, and fur.
